Researching through Design

While social scientists usually focus on investigating culture in the present, design uses the present to speculate future possible scenarios. The design researchers from the Royal College of Art and Newcastle University, Paulina Yurman and David Chatting have started the 2nd phase of the research: they are now developing ideas based on the information retrieved from the cultural probes given to families. They will give each family a design that they will interact and live with for a few months.
